Book Review of Knockdown: The Harrowing True Account of a Yacht Race Turned Deadly

reviewed on + 354 more book reviews

A gripping story told well but as I read it, it came to me that the detail as was told had to be made up by the author. No way he could know exactly what happened in that storm.
Enjoyed the story and would recommend it, but the final question is why? Why did these men think it was worth risking their lives and those around them just for a race?
A certain machismo doesn't seem worth it.
