Heroine knows more than the Irish police and actually tells them what to do. Utterly annoying heroine. I could only stomach the first hundred pages before skipping to the end and finding out who did it. I didn't feel like I missed anything by not reading the intervening 200+ pages. On the last page it's revealed she wants to be a police officer herself, which was pretty obvious from the beginning. I'll read the next book in the series just to see if it gets any better.
