Woman ranch owner Unita Nance desperately needs an experienced cattle driver to deliver her herd . So she kidnaps a resisting Ed Wright who was once one of the best but has crawled inside a bottle and stayed there for a while.
Good story of 2 people learning to live and love again after being hurt badly amidst the backdrop of the old west.
This is part of the Ralph Compton Trail Drive series. Most of these aren't written by Compton who died long ago. So you have to learn who the writer actually is to determine if it's one you will like. This writer is Dusty Richards who I found terrific and entertaining. I will definitely read more by him.
