Viscount Sheridan and 'Miss Rose' are very evenly matched in regards to their witticisms and dry humor. The dialogue was great.
This is a distinctly different book about Regency England; some of the defining moments take place in a seamier district of London. Not knowing that a stabbing was meant for Viscount Sheridan, he helps to save the real victim because of the entreaty of three young miscreants. Along the way, he falls in love with Lily and the three children.
I thought the book was a bit long; it seemed to meander around a good bit. There is the stabbing at the beginning and the end scene but between those points, it takes a long time to let the characters emerge.
I became impatient for the story to get moving. The plot was great but the execution took too long.
