Patricia Reilly Giff is a popular author of young children's book. Watch Out! is part of her New Kids at the Polk Street School series and is at a late first grade/second grade reading level. For those using the Fountas and Pinnell reading level system, it is a level L. Stacy struggles with what it means to be a good friend, and learns the fine art of how to be honest but still nice.
