This book was okay for me. On one hand it is very confusing at the beginning. It goes from present to past in a heartbeat and sometimes it take quite a while to realize that you are in a different time period than you thought. Luckily, it seems to slow down on that about the middle of the book. So the first half I struggled but after that it was smoother and more interesting. You know who did it around that time as well (or at least have a good guess) so the rest of the book is seeing how each character deals with it. The characters were okay. There were only a couple of them that I found endearing.
I would say try to make it to the half way point. If you do, I think you'll be able to enjoy the rest.
