This book in my opinion was so-so. The religion aspect of it bothered me and didn't make much sense. It is not a terrible book, but not one I would read again.

Ive read this twice as a stand alone and really like it a lot. Even though its a book 2, you can not tell this.
The author weaves the story so well into your brain you are captivated and unaware of anything else while in the world that he creates here. This is a GREAT Halloween read. I highly recommend this book and this author!

Brian Keene is a top notch writer of horror!! This will keep you on edge and as you get toward the end you'll be reading faster and faster, there is evil in the woods.

Ghost Walk is the 2nd book in the Lehorn Hollow series. The first one being Dark Hollow. The book can be read as a stand alone book though and I would probably recommend it that way. After reading Dark Hollow, I immediately jumped into this one. Boy was that a mistake. Was expecting so much more from this one and got so much less. I didn't care about the characters at all (which are pretty much totally different from the 1st book), the plot was thin, the evil "guys" didn't really seem so evil. I found I didn't care what happened to anyone just as long as the story would just end. What gets me is in the 1st book they fight only a portion of the evil that they have to fight in this one and yet (***spoiler***) the evil in this one takes no time at all to get it's butt kicked. I was really disappointed in this one and was happy that it ended.
