I enjoyed this 2011 release immensely. Lamb writes with humor, humility and snippets of "every woman". Her protagonists are flawed by redeemed and family is a common thread. I particularly love her depictions of the Pacific Northwest, particularly Oregon.

I was reading this book while I ate my lunch in a restaurant and found myself crying huge tears and feeling my heart well up in my chest. This is a fantastic story about family dynamics and the eccentricities we develop through the tribulations of our lives and the cost of redemption. A very, very moving story...

This was a fabulous book -well read with well defined characters. I particularly appreciated the reminders of the frailty of the human spirit but how strong we can be at our weakest moments. Excellent, excellent read.

This book was well written with excellent visual imagery. The subject matter is painful but it is a poignant story of a woman discovering herself as she sifts through her loss.

A nice beachy type read and still I learned something about people and their insecurities and their weaknesses. I appreciated seeing perceptions that were not "pretty" or socially acceptable. I liked it...
